Our new website is live
Our new website went live yesterday.
See it at: https://newforest.gov.uk
The address is the same but you’ll notice an updated look.
The new site has a clear, uncluttered design and the content has been revamped to be user-friendly and focussed on the needs of our residents.
It still has all the important information you need to know, including our Coronavirus updates https://www.newforest.gov.uk/coronavirus
We’d love to know what you think of the new website. Email us at digital@nfdc.gov.uk
Face coverings to be worn in shops
From 24 July you will be required to wear a face covering in shops and supermarkets, as well as on public transport.

Hampshire Helpline
The helpline is still available to provide information and advice, as well as practical support to frail or vulnerable Hampshire residents.
0333 370 4000
The helpline is available seven days a week, from 9am – 5pm, and is for vulnerable people who do not have support from families, friends or their local community, and who need urgent assistance with practical issues.
Health and leisure centres to re-open in August
We are re-opening our Health and Leisure centres in the first week of August (dates will vary for individual centres).
There will be some changes to activities and centre layouts. All our centre members will receive a letter prior to opening.

Eat out to help out
Restaurants and other establishments serving food to eat-in can now sign up to a new government scheme aimed at encouraging people to safely return to dining out and protecting jobs in the hospitality industry.
Businesses registered to use the scheme will offer a 50% reduction, up to a maximum of £10 per person, to all diners who eat and/or drink-in on Mondays to Wednesday throughout August.
A searchable restaurant finder tool will be available to the public before the scheme launches on 3 August.
Find out more and register your business for Eat Out to Help Out at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/register-your-establishment-for-the-eat-out-to-help-out-scheme
It’s Hampshire Day
Today, Wednesday 15 July, is Hampshire Day, an annual opportunity to celebrate all that is great about our County, its history, traditions and communities. Everyone is encouraged to mark Hampshire Day and share their pride in the County and all it represents.
Our Chairman, Cllr Allan Glass, has been out and about in our beautiful part of the county, follow us on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/newforestgov/, and Twitter, https://twitter.com/newforestdc, to see where he visited to mark the day.
Look out for your email or letter about voter registration
We’ll be in touch about your voter registration this summer. Don’t lose your voice – look out for messages from NFDC as we update our electoral register.
You may get an email from: “electoral.services.new.forest.district.council@notifications.service”
or a letter in the post that tells you what you need to do for your household.
